All About Sikka Art and Design Festival 2024

The 12th iteration of the Sikka Art and Design Festival is set to take place from February 23 to March 3, 2024, at Al Shindagha Historic Area The event will feature outdoor installations, art exhibitions, live performances, film screenings, poetry nights, workshops, indigenous food and drink offer, It will also feature other attractions, all set in an inspiring atmosphere that reflects the innovative spirit of Dubai. The main highlight of the Dubai Art Season (DAS), the Sikka Art Fair celebrates the creative energy within Dubai every year. Launched under the auspices of Her Majesty Sheikha Latifah bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Ministry of Culture and the Arts, it marks its 12th anniversary this year.

What can you expect from Sikka Art and Design Festival 2024

More than 200 events are planned for the arts festival, aimed at children and adults. They promise creative workshops that are family-friendly and will provide excellent opportunities for bonding. Expect more than 70 musicians, representing local talent and artists from the region. This provides a good opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the festival experience while giving your feet a well-deserved rest from all the exploring. And while you’re immersing yourself in the music, be sure to treat yourself to something delicious from the 35 locally owned food vendors in the vicinity, all of whom are hometown favorites. Additionally, the event will feature discussions, cinematic showcases, engaging workshops, and panel discussions. Introducing a fresh element to this year’s festival is the incorporation of a Culinary Arts category by the Dubai Culture Authority, aiming to showcase the diverse cultural influences in the emirate.
